|What you need to know:||
Parenting kids of any age is like being on a rollercoaster.
It can be an extremely rewarding experience, but at times, it can be extremely frustrating and challenging.
We all want to do the best we possibly can to nurture our kids, so they grow up to be healthy, happy and confident young adults, but in this age of social media, sometimes the pressures they face at school and college are unprecedented, and we, as adults are left stressed out and struggling to know how to help them.
This course will show you how using Mindfulness to support your own health and wellbeing can help strengthen your inner resources as parents, teach you ways to manage stress, and give you the tools for better communication so that you can help enrich your relationships with your kids.
This course is 2 hours a week for 8 weeks, plus an all day retreat.
Feedback from a recent participant:
"Thank you Jo for delivering such an insightful Mindful Parenting course. I have learnt many valuable lessons about myself, the way I interact with others, the way I parent and the type of parent I want to be. You have taught me practices which will keep me grounded when times are challenging; to help me be mindful and appreciate the little joys in everyday life which I often take for granted; and to feel ok about taking care of myself and showing myself daily kindness. I hope to be able to take what I\'ve learnt and develop my practice further, not only for myself but with my son also, and with the families I work with as part of my role as a Social Worker!"
