The Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) programme, developed by Jon Kabat-Zinn in 1979, is a gentle and powerful way to learn how to meet life with greater ease.

 

Blending meditation, body awareness, and mindful movement, it offers a practical, experiential approach to understanding how stress shows up in your body — and how you can begin to respond to it with more care and skill.

Through regular practice, many people find they are able to:

  • Feel more steady in the face of stress, pain, or anxiety
  • Navigate life’s challenges with greater resilience and clarity
  • Reconnect with a sense of presence, aliveness, and ease

Research continues to show that mindfulness can have a meaningful impact on both mental and physical wellbeing — supporting those experiencing stress, anxiety, depression, chronic pain, high blood pressure, and more.

 

But beyond the research, what people often notice most is something simpler and more personal, a feeling of coming back to themselves and a deeper sense of connection with others and the world around them.

 

Groups of 6-8 people maximum.

I am available for one hour coaching sessions that will introduce you to mindfulness and give you an oasis of calm in your busy life.  It is also a way to investigate ways mindfulness can support you through your life's challenges in a safe, non-judgemental way.

One-to-one mindfulness coaching

Humans are habitual creatures, and we get good at what we practice. Whether this be practicing things that are helpful, or unhelpful to our lives. If you have got to the point in your life where you are aware that what you are practicing is no longer working, then this is the right time to come and learn new ways of being. By committing to four sessions, you will be accountable for the practice you do and be able to reflect on what is working for you

Meditation Drop in

Through this MBSR course, you will learn skills that can increase your ability to:

  • Cope better with stress, pain, and anxiety

  • Manage challenging events more skillfully

  • Be fully present and alive in this moment

Research shows that practicing mindfulness can have a significant impact for those experiencing stress, anxiety, high blood pressure, depression, chronic pain, migraines, heart conditions, diabetes and other ailments. In addition, participants typically report feeling more alive and more "in-tune" with themselves and others.
