I was lucky enough to be introduced to meditation at the young age of 11 by my dad.  My understanding and appreciation for it grew whilst travelling around South East Asia at 18.

Fast forward a few years - I was 30, single, in a job I hated and totally stuck in my life. I was an emotional mess and I could see how much I was in my own way.  This led me to participate in a 10 day silent meditation retreat, which helped me realise that I have a choice in how I respond to life's challenges, and how to regulate myself. This was profound for me and it was from this point that I began to integrate it into my life, with amazing results.

An encounter with Ruby Wax at the launch of her mindfulness book ‘Sane New World’ in 2013 had such an impact on me, that I had a lightbulb moment! I realised that mindfulness and meditation was something I now wanted to share with others.

Since becoming a mum to 2 very lively (soon to be teenage) girls, and all the challenges that entails, I have become acutely aware how important the practice of mindfulness and meditation is when it comes to parenting and all the difficulties life can throw our way.

I have one simple goal – to introduce the concept of mindfulness and meditation in a simple way that helps people bring it into their own lives, and I have a particular passion for providing the tools to help us all deal with the intensity of our busy lives both in and out of work.

 

This includes ways we can best take care of ourselves in a practical and viable way, ensuring the world gets the best of us not what’s left of us!

In addition to mindfulness, I am also an ACT and NLP Practitioner as well as an OTA for a private Occupational Therapy business, Purpose People.

 

I regularly facilitate the 8-week Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) Programme, as well as delivering many other tailored short mindfulness courses, one off sessions and 1-1 coaching to individuals and businesses.  

 

I also offer a free live guided meditation on the last Sunday of every month, on zoom and Instagram. Just sign up to my newsletter to receive the details. 


Clients have included The Big Issue, M&C Saatchi Group, The British Medical Association, XUL Architecture, Orient Capital, LMA Recruitment, Fulwell 73, Deloitte, Indeed Flex, TUI, RBS, Natwest, AAR, Scottish Power, Voucher codes, Accenture and The Academy PR.  I have recently begun to deliver courses and meditation session for members of the UK Parliament. 


I value being able to support professionals, individuals and teams achieve success by reducing stress, improving general well-being and building greater emotional resilience.


I am also annually assessed to appear on the UK Listing of Mindfulness Teachers on BAMBA, so that the teaching I provide you is accredited and always up to date.
